Construction Company GHG - Phase II | Constructora GHG - Fase II

On Wednesday November 22nd, 2017, It is reported that the contract with the Construction Company GHG is signed and with this the starting of Phase 2, which will involve the construction of the AURA-LSST-NOAO building.

Today an informative meeting was held with the GHG representatives about the general and safety requirements that will be required for the start of the work in the field, which will be informed in advance for the updated knowledge of all.

Safety Council Review | Revision del Consejo de Seguridad

During the days 7, 8 and 9 of November 2017, the Safety Council Review was held in La Serena, during these three days the Council reviewers Richard Hislop, Mark Grushka and Charles Hoes had the opportunity to learn about the processes and systems that the project is using to ensure the safety is effectively integrated into the management processes, special emphasis had the Summit Construction Site and Base Facility Construction Site.

Restarting of Excavation Works | Se retoman los Trabajos de Excavacion

Rencoret Company will restart the excavation works on Wednesday, November 15th which will have an end date on Thursday, January 18th of the next year involving the half voltage splicing in the sector of house 4 and recreation areas. 

It will begin with the Modification of drinking water supply to swimming pool with connection to the concrete box and Clearance, and cutting of brushwood and thorns to do perimeter closure.

Emergency Exit | Salida de Emergencia

·  Due to the remodeling of Stage 3, offices of the scientific area will be left with only one access and regular exit for users of this part of the building.  

·  This same access will serve as an emergency exit with a meeting point in front of the Gemini building for offices.

200 Work Days without Accidents | 200 Dias sin Accidentes

Hello everyone!

 Rencoret and our Safety department celebrated the past Thursday, October 26, the end of Stage 2 and also the celebration of the 200 work days without accidents of the Base Facility Addition remodeling, in this opportunity was participated and Awards were given to two workers, Jose Miguel Ortiz Pasten and  Juan Contreras Salas that have stood out for their commitment to Safety.
