Energy Cut - Friday, Feb.1 | Corte de Energia - Viernes, 1 de Feb.

Today, from 5:40pm to 9pm there will be an energy cut that affects the Electronic Lab (offices 90 to 115), Optic Lab (offices 103 to 108) and CISS offices (109 and 110) in the -1 level, as well as ETS offices 48 to 57 and 62 to 72 and 76 to 90, also described as refurbishment stages 1 and 2, according to the attached drawing.

The reason for this energy cut in the indicated areas is to realign the 480v electrical feeders which are above the pavement line in the access of the Data Center and southern parking area where the Modulux and Motel were located.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Beginning Friday, February 1 until Sunday, February 3 an excavation will be made on the Recinto’s main circulation route. This excavation is due to the relocation of sewage piping. The old piping is under the new building so it must be relocated to the area shown in the image.

This excavation will impact vehicle traffic in the area. Pedestrian transit will be signalled with cones and signs.

  • The repair will take about an hour
  • The cut affects Casa Verde, Stage 1 bathrooms and the bathrooms in the Electronic Lab

  • La reparacion tomara alrededor de una hora

Building Connection | Conexion de Edificios

  • Starting today, work will begin on the connection of the Base Facility Office Building and the NOAO Building (southwest area)
  • This work involves an important amount of noise in result of the electric tools being used in the area
  • The use of hearing protection is recommended, available at the LSST offices

  • A water cut has been programmed for today, starting at 5:30pm
  • The cut will last one hour and will affect Casa Verde, Stage 1 bathrooms, Electronic Lab and Dining room
  • Hoy a contar de las 17:30 horas, se realizará un corte programado de agua
  • Este corte será por una hora y afectará a Casa Verde, Baños de Etapa I, Laboratorio Electrónico y Comedor
