Simulations using imSim for the optics system commissioning

Following on the planning from last year's PCW, imSim now includes an optical ray-tracer allowing detailed simulations of the telescope and control systems that were previously not possible. A realistic camera model now includes the wave front sensors allowing for the simulation of out of focus donuts at the edge of the focal plane. Our control system now has the ability to separately move all of the elements of the optical system and specify models for  perturbations due to temperature differences and gradients, and gravitational flexure. We will also have a realistic Gaia star catalog available as input to simulate what we expect to see during the commissioning of the active optics system.  The AOS team is now designing the tests to be performed at the observatory to commission the optics system.  In this session the AOS and imSim team will meet to discuss status of the optics simulation and decide what simulated data samples we should produce to test the control system software and prepare for on-sky commissioning.
