Early science with Rubin: what to expect in year 1 of Operations

Rubin Observatory is committed to enabling high-impact science during the first year of operation of the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST). In this session we will present updates to the plans for enabling Early Science. This session will cover what to expect in year one of Rubin Operations with respect to the timeline for decisions and planned activities related to early science, template generation, alert production, cadence optimization, and target-of-opportunity follow-up. With a special focus on helping everyone plan for grant and time-allocation proposals.

We welcome presentations in this session from the community on work related to Early Science. Please contact the session lead (Leanne Guy) if you would like to present some work
