Data Preview 0

This session welcomes anyone who is interested in preparing for science with the simulated datasets of Data Preview 0 (DP0), which are currently available in the Rubin Science Platform (RSP) with the same formats, access mechanisms, and analysis tools as will be used for future real data.

This session will start out with a short overview of what Rubin’s Data Preview 0 is and also briefly cover instructions for getting started (for anyone who is new and wants to access DP0, see the "getting started with DP0 checklist"). A special focus will be put on the latest release of DP0.3, a simulated set of Solar System data products, and will include a short tutorial on how to access this new data. Time will also be dedicated to "DP0 Show-And-Tell": anyone may contribute a flash talk on DP0-related work in any stage of completeness. The aim here is to get a nice cross-section of different scientific fields and uses of the DP0 data set and Rubin Science Platform.

Contact session chairs Melissa Graham or Mario Juric if you would like to contribute to this session.
