Tuesday Reception from 6pm: There will be a reception on Tuesday evening at the SLAC Cafe. Heavy appetizers and a variety of drinks will be provided. This is not considered a meal, hence for those on travel dinner per diem can still be claimed. If you wish to bring guests you can do so for a fee of $30 each payable as a separate transaction when you check out for the $225 registration fee. Star Party: Tuesday after the reception: Join LSST Discovery Alliance and our guests from the SETI Institute for an LSST-themed star party. We’ll view deep space objects with Unistellar’s smart digital telescopes (eVscopes) and conduct short science observations of LSST-centric targets including asteroids, comets, and transient phenomena for which citizen scientists in the Unistellar Network can add valuable supporting data. Multiple telescopes will be available for observing various targets, with opportunities to connect your smartphone directly to download images.
