This session is an LGBTQIA+ and allies social event in order to bring members of the community together ahead of the rest of the meeting. The hope is that this space will help us know each other a bit more, talk about any concerns that might be addressed through mutual aid, and generally make the Rubin Community Workshop a more approachable meeting to marginalized folks.

How it works: This session will thus be very informal! We may have a few icebreaker questions at the start of the session, but feel free to drop into the session at any time. Bring your own lunch, or eat first and then join us. The morning sessions end at 12pm and the brown bag social starts at 12:45pm, so that everyone has 45 minutes to go and buy food (or order delivery). We will end by 1:45pm, with 15 minutes to spare before afternoon sessions start at 2pm.
