Preparing to Discover the Unknown with Rubin LSST: Time Domain

A practical, human-centred complement to the scientific and operational challenges associated with detecting unexpected, poorly characterised or previously uncategorised phenomena in the LSST. Algorithms and simulations alone cannot capture the full range of scientific, institutional, and public contexts surrounding future detections. This session would focus on the social, interpretive, and communicative dimensions of discovering the unknown.
