LSST Discovery Alliance offers childcare support grants to help reduce barriers for scientists with caregiving responsibilities who wish to participate in the Rubin Community Workshop. These grants are intended to offset additional childcare expenses that arise when attending the meeting, helping ensure that parents and caregivers can fully engage with the Rubin LSST science community.

RCW participants are invited to apply for childcare support through LSST Discovery Alliance. Funds may be used for a variety of caregiving arrangements, such as bringing a caregiver and dependent to the meeting location or arranging additional care at home while traveling.
