All are welcome to attend this session and hear about the activities of the Galaxies Science Collaboration, and their preparations for early science with LSST. We will present the SC, discuss our publication policy and DP1 papers. We will then start the first series of talks on the Galaxies SC topics. This session will be followed by two sessions on Galaxies Science and Dwarf Galaxies and Low Surface Brightness Science on Thrusday.

For each talk, we will have 15 minutes for the presentation + 3 minutes for questions
