Go have fun! The Unconference sessions are not preplanned, and so have no chairs and no agendas. They are typically informal discussions or co-working sessions, but sometimes have impromptu presentations. Please organize amongst yourselves and identify people in the room to facilitate the discussion. If there is a volunteer note-taker, a summary topic posted in the Rubin Community Forum would be awesome but is not mandatory.

There will not necessarily be a Zoom component but if you're in the room and want to connect for virtual participants, use the Wed 13:30pm Zoom session for the same room. Recording will start automatically.

Three sessions for which the topics are proposed and voted on by in-person workshop attendees.

How to propose a topic: Write your idea on a sticky note and place it on the Unconference board, leaving space to the right of it for people to vote. Markers and sticky notes are provided.

How to vote for topics: On the Unconference board, right next to a topic you like, write a "I" to add your vote. It's OK if you vote for more than one proposed topic.

Deadline for voting: Wednesday, end of lunch.

Room assignments: Topics with the most votes will be assigned to the three breakout rooms. This page will be updated and the results announced in Slack.

No virtual component (no Zoom). Since these are usually impromptu discussions or breakout co-working sessions, with no pre-set agenda or presentations, they do not work well as hybrid sessions. There is no Zoom room for the Unconference.
