Auxiliary Telescope Commissioning Planning and Status

This session will be used better detail the activities of commissioning  the LSST Auxiliary Telescope Imager and Slitless Spectrograph) to give a quick status of the current state of telescope, instrument and general system readiness. Possible discussion points will include:

1. Techniques to measure the spectral and temporal structure function of the atmosphere.
2. What tests do we run to determine the number of exposures required for each target (blank, short exposure with grating, long exposure with grating?) - Is there sky or target properties that would result in this changing (beyond the obvious)?
3. Determining frequency of required calibrations, specifically flats. What tests are we doing to ensure we're flat fielding properly?
4. What software do we need running on-site during observations? Spectral extraction, code to build and verify master calibrations?
5. When comparing extracted spectra obtained with the Ronchi and Holographic Dispersers, what are the metrics for success?
