Welcome to the Vera C. Rubin Observatory team. The Rubin construction project is an independent operating center of the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA), and while Rubin adheres to AURA policies, each center retains a degree of autonomy, so there are some slight but significant differences to be aware of. Also, as a distributed project with team members working at both partner institutions and the AURA Rubin center, it is vital that we all share a common understanding of Rubin policies, standards, practices, and tools. Accessible through the Learning menu, Litmos houses, deploys, tracks and reports on training done throughout the project. Training required by our NSF agreement can be accessed via Litmos. As a new project member, you will receive an email providing instructions on what training you are required to take and how to access the training.

Human Resources
Accessible via a link in the Services menu, the AURA Human Resources department's website has links to Web Timesheets, and Ultipro, the HR information system, as well as general information such as benefits and programs.
Central Administrative Services (CAS)
Accessible via a link in the Services menu, this is the AURA website for the department responsible for purchasing, grants and contracts management, and financial reporting.
Building Access

Financial support for Rubin Observatory comes from the National Science Foundation (NSF) through Cooperative Support Agreement No. 1202910, the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science under Contract No. DE-AC02-76SF00515, and private funding raised by the LSST Corporation. The NSF-funded Rubin Observatory Project Office for construction was established as an operating center under management of the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA). The DOE-funded effort to build the the Rubin Observatory LSST Camera (LSSTCam) is managed by the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC).
The National Science Foundation (NSF) is an
independent federal agency created by Congress
in 1950 to promote the progress of science. NSF supports basic research and people to create knowledge that transforms the future.
NSF and DOE will continue to support Rubin Observatory in its Operations phase. They will also provide support for scientific research with LSST data.
